Hi, I'm Ian Butters. I originally created this website for my first venture into Rush tributism - a band called Tom Sawyer which I formed in 2002.
I am now the guitarist and co-founder of a new and improved project SIGNALS TO THE HEMISPHERES which is set to be the realisation of a long held ambition to provide a fully professional regularly gigging Rush tribute band to provide quality entertainment for Rush fans far and wide.
Also, throughout 2007/2008 I found a renewed passion for writing my own music and felt that the website could maybe be put to broader use to incorporate this too.
Tom Sawyer Promotions functions as a shop window for my own various musical projects and also those of other musicians that I come into contact with and whom I feel have something worth including here.
Right now all my focus is on establishing the new and exciting SIGNALS TO THE HEMISPHERES .
However, I am continuing to work on my own original material, all-be-it at a slower pace right now due to the above.
I will be expanding the site gradually throughout 2009 so please visit regularly to keep up to date with developments.
